Due to the traffic snarl that will be created this weekend with the Lobster Festival Parade, the Rockland office will not have its regular Saturday hours. As we know from experience, getting into and out of Rockland during the parade is near impossible. Hope you enjoy the parade!

The latest MIS newsletter has been e-mailed to all customers. If for some reason you didn't see it, it's available on-line here.

The next Referral Program prize (to be drawn on or about August 17th) is a copy of Norton Anti-Virus 2003, compliments of Reliable Computers and Consulting. Not only is the winner going to receive MIS's favored anti-virus program, but Royce Cokinis, owner of Reliable, has tossed in either a free beginner's email or Internet class for the winner. Thank you Royce and RCC, and don't forget--if you refer a friend to MIS, make sure you fill out the referral form.

Congratulations to Christina Linscott of Owls Head. She was chosen at random as the first winner for the MIS Referral contest, and won a $20 gift certificate to The Pastry Garden. Congratulations Christina, and thank you Carol of The Pastry Garden.

MIS has announced a new, updated customer referral program. For years, current MIS customers have been able to receive a $20 credit when referring a friend to MIS. The new customer and the current customer filled out a simple form, and a $20 credit appeared on the referring customers bill. We've decided to make some improvements to the program.

About the 17th of each month, our techs in the Damariscotta office call all new subscribers for that month. It's a courtesy call to make sure everything is running smoothly, and to see if customers have any questions. At the time of this call, the guys will look and see if the box showing the customer was referred by a "Friend" was checked. If so, they'll remind the customer to fill out the referral form.

Also, as a way of saying "thank you" to the referring customer, Gina our bookkeeper has been sending them a nice hand-written thank you note. It's just a little something to say "We appreciate you telling your friends about MIS." And, you still get the $20 credit!

Then, every month, we'll put all customers who submitted referral coupons into a drawing for a nice prize. This month, the winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to The Pastry Garden. Every month, we'll feature a new prize from a local business.

So just by referring your friends to MIS, you can receive a $20 credit, a nice thank you card, and the chance at a cool prize! It's just one more way that MIS proves "local is better."

As a reminder, MIS will not be open on July 4th. Also, our Rockland office will not be open to foot traffic on July 5th. But we will be looking after voicemails and emails. So if you have a problem, call the office (594-8277) and leave a message or email help@midcoast.com, and we'll get back to you. We'll return to regular office hours on July 7th.
