If you're in the Damariscotta area, try and catch the MIS t-ball team in action! Our very own Ray Stevens is coaching one of the two Bristol teams this year.

Congratulations to our two Midcoast Internet Foundation scholarship winners this year! Kyan Dunlap attends Morse High School in Bath, and is planning on majoring in computer science at Marist College. Colin Lloyd attends Belfast Area High, and plans on studying Digital Media and Film at the New England School of Communications. A panel of three independent judges chose these two from five applicants. Fifteen schools between Belfast and Brunswick were asked to submit one applicant each. Rockland High, Georges Valley, and Lincoln Academy also submitted names to us.

Congratulations to Mary Farrell! She's the winner of this month's referral contest. As reported below, the prize was supposed to be two hours of time at the Internet cafe at Abacus Computers. But that doesn't make a lot of sense for Mary, as she's from Damariscotta. So we'll roll the Internet cafe certificate over to next month, and give Mary something different, though still as nice. Congrats again Mary!

Ben Cameron of Abacus Computers in Rockport has donated our next prize: two hours of time in their Internet Cafe. Use the time to download or upload large files over their hi-speed connection. Use it for email checks. Or, Ben recommends the video work station. Bring in your camcorder and some photos, use their video editing machine and software, and make your own DVD! How cool would it be to assemble a DVD of the familiy, perfect for gift giving! Thanks Ben!
