09/28/2004 Archived Entry: "Computers Find Good Homes"
Recently, Douglas Rohner's dad passed away. His Dad was 90, and bought his first computer at the age of 82! Anyway, Doug wanted to donate his dad's perfectly good (albeit older) iMac. He brought it to us, and asked if we had any ideas. Marketing Director Bill Batty formated the hard drive and installed a clean copy of Mac OS 9.1. He then solicited staff for ideas of non-profits who could use a Mac. Two choices emerged: The Penobscott School and Youthlinks. A drawing was held, and Youthlinks won! So thanks to the generosity of Doug Rohner, Youthlinks has a good iMac to play with.
