Midcoast Internet Solutions announced today that they would be offering residential DSL services to many areas serviced by the Verzion phone company. DSL (or digital subscriber line) is a high speed technology that works over regular coper telephone cabling, and allows users to simultaneously be online and on the phone.

"With an ever increasing demand for both higher speed options and more coverage areas, Midcoast Internet Solutions is excited to offer DSL in many new areas across the region," said Patrick Rowling, DSL coordinator for Midcoast. "If you haven't already tried broadband service, you are in for a treat. The speed, ease of use and uptime of DSL are miles beyond what normal dialup offers."

Midcoast's DSL service is available to residential customers who use Verizon as their local phone company.
